Experience
Head of the INQUIFOR research group, Associate Professor of the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Chemical Engineering of the University of Alcalá and member of the University Institute of Research in Police Sciences (IUICP). She graduated in Chemistry Science from the University of Jaén in 1997, obtaining the Special Degree Award. She completed her Ph.D. in Chemical Sciences in 2001 with the Thesis titled “Application of Electrokinetic Chromatography for the Separation of Hydrophobic Compounds and Chiral Separation of Environmental and Pharmacology Interest Compounds” at the University of Alcalá, been awarded with the Extraordinary Doctoral Award. In 2006, she obtained the Award for Young Researchers at the University of Alcalá, and in 2008 she got the Award for Young Researchers from the Spanish Royal Society of Chemistry. In 2009 she obtained the Award to the best Research-Professor of the University of Alcalá by the Students Council. In her curriculum she has more than 140 publications in national and international scientific journals, 41 participations in projects, 9 patents, 4 stays abroad and more than 135 communications in national and international conferences.

He works with multivariate multi- and hyperspectral data and image analysis, pattern recognition by means of neural networks and bag of features, data mining, and applied programming for solving chemical-forensic problems. He also helps with the IT problems, and with designing and operating multi- and hyperspectral systems. He got his Degree in Food Engineering in the Technical University of Ambato (UTA) in Ecuador 1995, M.Sc. in Food Science and Biotechnology in 1998 from Lund University (LU), M.Sc. in IT and Networking Systems at the University of Alcalá (UAH) in 2012. He got his Ph.D. in Engineering in 2004 with the Thesis “Interactions between Amylose, Native Potato, Hydrophobically Modified Potato and High Amylopectin Potato Starches” at the Lunds Institute of Technology (LHT) in the Lunds University. He has also worked shortly in Germany and done some training both in Germany, Finland and Denmark.
